QuadraByte

Looking Ahead to 2022 | A letter from our CEO

As we go into the start of another year, I reflect on 2021 with Quadrabyte, and I am stunned by the growth we have achieved. I think about the COVID-19 pandemic as a pebble dropping into a pond, the ripples fanning out to disrupt and rock the surface and everything floating on it. It is both awe-inspiring and scary to think about how one event can cause such a significant shift for years to come.

When I started QuadraByte in 2010, it was to provide top-tier server management and PHP application consultation. Over the years, the company slowly shifted to being more of an independent consulting label until I started to crave something more. I would say that 2019 was the turning point for the company, as we found our niche in providing tailored solutions for data, business intelligence, and data analytics. The onset of the pandemic and the shift to remote working and moving data to the cloud was almost serendipitous as these organizational initiatives aligned with the services we offer.

I can’t reflect on the accomplishments of 2021 without also recognizing the growth in our service offerings. A bright and intelligent woman told me a few years ago that all great companies recognize the need to pivot or expand to grow and stay relevant, and for us, 2021 was the year of expansion. Blockchain and decentralized applications have multiplied, and our team quickly realized that this was the natural evolution of the data world. We launched our initial offerings for blockchain solutions and saw rapid interest across organizations of all sizes. The transparency, redundancy, and trust inherent to blockchain gave birth to solutions to data problems that were otherwise bandaid fixes.

As we move into 2022, I am fully committed to the growth of our brand, our team, and our customers. To highlight a few of those commitments:

  • The health and safety of our employees will always be our top priority. We will continue to operate in a fully remote work environment and will be taking quarterly surveys with our employees to learn how we can continue to provide better benefits that promote this value.
  • We doubled our revenue in 2021, all of which was invested back into the company. As we enter a new fiscal year, I aim to drive us towards doubling that number once again.
  • Our customers will continue to drive our offerings. We are continually surveying our customers for what worked best, what could be improved, and what is missing when it comes to a tailored solution. I am constantly asking myself what we can do as a company to bring along the next evolution of technology and how we can set our customers up to be successful in these new frontiers.
  • Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is still a core value of our culture. As an LGBTQ owned business, I take pride in ensuring that our workforce is both diverse and that we are breaking down barriers for minorities.

Going into the new year, I want to thank our fantastic team and contractors for all of their hard work and effort. We work hard for our customers, but I know that we have fun doing it as we continue to provide innovative and exciting solutions. My door is always open, and I welcome feedback on how we can grow, where we can improve, and ideas you have.

Finally, I want to thank our customers and partners who joined us for this wild and crazy ride, as well as for putting their trust in our brand. I know that any realized success we have directly resulted from you and your belief in our commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we will always hold a special place for those who joined us early on for this adventure.

With these final thoughts, I hope that 2022 is better than the last. I am not a big believer in New Year’s resolutions, as I feel that every day we should resolve to accomplish something new and exciting, and I don’t want to restrain my growth to a decision made once a year. While we have defined some yearly goals as a company, I go into 2022 with eyes wide open and ready to accept the changes we need to make for the well-being of our customers, partners, and employees.

Have a happy New Year, and we look forward to working with you as we set out to make 2022 unforgettable.
